Astro Announcements 3/8
March 8th, 2024
Good morning, Astros! Here are this week’s announcements for athletics and clubs!
Get your friends together to battle it out for a school wide volleyball tournament, including some infamous teachers, administrators, and security team members! At least 6 people are required to form a team; you can have a maximum of 10 people. The cost is $5 per person and the event will be held in the Hackler gym on March 11th. Reach out to Mrs. Smith in room 6-108-A in the Media Center for information to join, or scan the QR codes on posters around campus.
Do you want to help freshmen transition into Pinkerton Academy and get community service hours? Apply to be part of the Academy Mentor Program! An informational meeting will be held on Monday, March 11th at 2 pm in the freshman cafeteria. Applications are due April 5th and will open after break. If you have any questions or are interested in joining, reach out to Mrs. Spinelli ([email protected]) or Mrs. Matrumalo ([email protected]).
Attention Pinkerton! Love to get a good meal at a great restaurant? Go to Cask & Vine for the month of March to support the Class of 2026. 10% of your bill will go to their class office if you mention Pinkerton Academy. Hope you enjoy and support the class!
Calling all boys! Mr. Pinkerton 2024 is happening on March 27th! If interested in participating in the show itself see Mr. Breda in room 306 of the science building by Wednesday, March 13. This is an opportunity to show off your talents and charm for a title and cash prize of $100. This year's theme will be Ken and Allen from the Barbie movie! We hope to see you there!
Did you enjoy watching your teachers get pied at the pep rally? How would you like the opportunity to do it yourself? On march 14th to celebrate Pi Day some of your math teachers have volunteered to be pied to raise money for the Math Honor Society. Come to the Shepard Cafeteria during your lunch period with $5 to pie either Ms. Walker during L1, Mr. Curry during L2, Mrs. Tassinari during L3, or Mr. Torro during L4. Again that's in the Shepard Cafeteria on March 14th during lunches. Hope to see you there!
Come join us in the Hackler Gymnasium on Thursday, March 14th at 2:30 to support our Unified and Varsity Basketball teams in a game to help raise funds for Make-A-Wish. A $5 minimum donation covers the cost of admission. Be there and be Loud!
Attention students: NHS is hosting a Spring paint night on March 16th from 5-7 pm in the Senior Cafe. Kids 12 and under will be led by AP Art student Sadie Fortune and the adult class will be led by AP art teacher Mr. Gonzalez! Please let your friends and family know because it is open to everyone. We will also have a bake sale going on during the paint night. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for kids. You can ask any NHS member for more information and to buy a ticket from them. NHS members, please make sure to sell tickets, volunteer, or contribute a bake sale item! We hope to see you there!
This Sunday, March 10th, both our boys and girls basketball teams will be playing in the D1 Championships. The boys team plays at 4:00 at UNH against Nashua North. Girls play at 7:00 pm also at UNH, against Bedford.
Be there and be loud!
Thanks for listening Astros and have a great weekend!
