WHAT SHOULD STUDENTS/PARENTS DO IF THEY ARE INTERESTED IN A P.A.C.E. PROGRAM?

IS TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED TO P.A.C.E. PROGRAMS?
- Transportation is not provided to or from any of the P.A.C.E. programs.
- With parent permission, students may qualify for rides via the cooperative alliance for regional transportation - cart-rides.org
- On a case by case basis and with permission from their Associate Dean, students may walk from or to an alternative site to take a bus to or from home.
ARE 504 PLANS & INDIVIDUAL EDUCATION PLANS IMPLEMENTED IN P.A.C.E.?
- 504 Plans are amended by team as deemed necessary and implemented in all P.A.C.E. Programs.
- Special Education Services must be refused to transfer to P.A.C.E. Afternoon/Evening in the Media Center, Ombudsman at the Alternative Learning Center and HiSET at the Upper Room Programs ONLY (no day classes/academic support/resource scheduled on the main Pinkerton campus).
- Students enrolled in a P.A.C.E. alternative program and day classes typically choose to keep academic support/resource in their schedule and continue to receive Special Education Services in the day.
WHICH GRADUATION CEREMONY DO STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN?
- Afternoon/evening students may choose to participate in the traditional Pinkerton Academy standard graduation or the P.A.C.E. graduation ceremony.
- Ombudsman students may choose to participate in the traditional Pinkerton Academy standard graduation or the ALC graduation ceremony.
- HiSET students participate in the Upper Room’s graduation ceremony.
WHAT TYPE OF DIPLOMA DO P.A.C.E. STUDENTS EARN?
- The HiSET is a high school equivalency credential, not a diploma.
NOTE: Upon completing the HiSet, a student may return to school to earn a diploma, free of charge, until the age of 21. There is a fee for afternoon/evening classes for students who are 21+ years of age. - Students who choose to switch from the standard to the adult diploma track will receive a Pinkerton Academy Adult Diploma.
- Students who choose to remain at the Ombudsman Program to complete their high school requirements will receive a Pinkerton Academy Alternative Diploma.
- The HiSET is a high school equivalency credential, not a diploma.
ARE PARKING PERMITS REQUIRED FOR P.A.C.E. PROGRAMS?
- Parking permits are not required for students to park at the Upper Room, the Alternative Learning Center, or after normal school hours for afternoon/evening classes.
- Parking permits are available to P.A.C.E. students with reduced day schedules who otherwise do not qualify for a parking permit via the senior office.
DO P.A.C.E. STUDENTS PAY DUES?
Dues must be paid in full prior to being granted a parking permit and/or participating in Pinkerton activities and graduation.
DO P.A.C.E. STUDENTS PAY FOR LOST BOOKS/FEES?
Fees must be paid in full prior to graduation.
