bubblemania: comedy with a drip!

A unique family program combining high-energy entertainment with artistic achievement, BubbleMania is loaded with visual comedy, quick wit, and the untamed, often unbelievable qualities and beauty of spherical liquids. Casey Carle’s creations grow from intricate and imaginative bubble art forms to "trapping" people inside bubbles!

eurydice

In Eurydice, Sarah Ruhl reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists, and breathtaking visual effects, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story.

Back by popular demand, Christmas with the Celts performs a wonderful combination of timeless ancient Irish Christmas Carols and lively Irish dance with modern contemporary songs but with Irish instrumentation. And an Irish Christmas would not be complete without the unpredictable Irish jokes (craic) and banter that occurs between band members and the audience every year and the always crowd-pleasing fiery Irish dancers!

the runaway bunny and goodnight moon

Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia returns to the Stockbridge with the beloved children’s classics Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny. Goodnight Moon is a celebration of familiar nighttime rituals, while The Runaway Bunny’s pretend tale of leaving home evokes reassuring responses from his loving mum.  Both feature endearing rabbit characters, and the soothing rhythms of bunny banter and dream-like imagery never fail to infuse young readers with a reassuring sense of security.  Mermaid’s staged adaptation brings a new sense of appreciation to stories that have delighted several generations!

It’s 1955, and in a square little town in a square little state rides a guitar-playing young man who changes everything and everyone he meets. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy will have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”

Dallas Brass has become one of America’s foremost musical ensembles.  The group has performed from New York to Rome and Tokyo, with gala appearances at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. The Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass is America’s premier large brass ensemble. RMPBB is dedicated to the notion that music is a gift to be enjoyed by everyone. A veritable "dream team" of virtuoso brass players, the ensemble has performed all over the world and is dedicated to sharing brass music with the next generation of music lovers. The concert will include special performances by the Pinkerton Academy’s exceptional student ensembles!

dont let the pigeon drive the bus

Whatever you do, don't let the Pigeon star in his own musical production! It's not easy being the Pigeon-you never get to do ANYTHING! But when the Bus Driver has a crisis that threatens to make her passengers (gasp!) late, maybe that wily bird CAN do something. 

With a script written by Mo Willems, the creator of the #1 New York Times best-selling, Caldecott Honor award-winning "Pigeon" picture books, TheaterWorksUSA ‘s Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! is even more fun than staying up late and having a hot dog party!
