Admissions FAQ
Whether you're a prospective student, parent, or guardian, our goal is to provide you with all the information you need to navigate the admissions journey with confidence. If you have additional questions or need further assistance, our admissions team is here to assist you every step of the way.
Is there an application deadline for tuition students?
While we accept applications on a rolling basis, it's important to note that our available spots are limited. We highly encourage visiting the Academy during the summer or early fall and submitting your application before the year's end. This timeline ensures the opportunity to attend events like the 8th Grade Preview Night and Course Night (specifically for incoming 9th graders), both held in January, as well as take part in our course selection process, held in late January, with your class.
What is the Transfer Mentor Program at Pinkerton Academy, and who is considered a transfer student?
The Transfer Mentor Program is designed to help transfer students adjust to life at Pinkerton Academy. It involves a group of school counselors, student mentors, and transfer students. The mission of the group is to provide opportunities for new students to meet others and feel more comfortable and connected to the school. The group meets regularly throughout the school year, and student mentors, many of whom transferred to Pinkerton as underclassmen, act as guides and provide valuable insight into student life. Transfer students are typically those who have moved from one school to another, often mid-year or after completing part of their education elsewhere. If you are a transfer student and are interested in joining the program, please inquire during registration.
Pinkerton Academy just signed an agreement with the Fremont School District. When does the agreement come into effect and what does it mean for Fremont residents?
The agreement between Pinkerton Academy and the Fremont School District comes into effect on July 1, 2026. That means starting in 2026, graduating Fremont 8th graders will have the option to choose Pinkerton for their high school education.
Can a student from Fremont attend Pinkerton as a tuition student prior to the agreement’s effective date?
Yes. A student living in Fremont wishing to attend Pinkerton before the agreement’s effective date will need to go through the tuition student application process. The first step is to fill out the tuition student application here.
Will transportation for Fremont residents be provided to and from Pinkerton?
The Fremont School District is working with a transportation company as well as neighboring towns and districts to provide a cost-effective solution for transporting high school students to Pinkerton. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback regarding transportation, please reach out to the Fremont School District.
