Good morning Astros! Here are this week’s announcements for athletics and clubs!
Educators Rising is hosting a book drive. All books must be gently used or new, and can be deposited in each attendance office or in the CTE office in the Low building. Books will be collected through October 25th.
The Poetry Out Loud competition is returning to Pinkerton Academy! Poetry Out Loud is a national arts education program that encourages the study of great poetry by offering a dynamic recitation competition for high school students across the country. The competition starts at PA. Winners then may advance to a regional and state competition, and ultimately to the national finals. If you are interested in participating or want more information, sign up for FLEX tomorrow, October 18th with Mrs. Marsden in room Z-432.
Sophomores! Information regarding the HOBY Leadership seminar was sent to all sophomores this past week. Sophomores, check your email for more information and to complete the application. The HOBY Leadership seminar is a great opportunity to gain leadership skills and have a fun time doing it. Contact the Associate Head of School office with questions. The deadline is October 20th.
There will be a Spanish Club meeting on Oct. 19th afterschool We will be making quesadillas and playing games in Spanish. Email [email protected] for more information.
We're excited to launch our STEM Club, and we want YOU to be part of it!
Here, you'll explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on experiments, design and build cool gadgets, and collaborate with like-minded students. You'll get guidance from knowledgeable mentors, enjoy interactive experiences, take up exciting challenges, and boost your problem-solving skills. Our first meeting will be at 2:10 pm on October 26th in room 6-209 of the Academy Building. Take advantage of this chance to unlock your potential and be part of a community that dreams big, explores the unknown, and changes the world!
