2023-2024 Academy Plan Agreement

Eligibility - To qualify for this privilege, students must meet ALL  of the following requirements:

  1. Students must have a study scheduled during the first or last block of the day or you are NOT eligible for the Academy Plan.
  2. Students MUST have an overall average of 80.0 or higher from the previous semester.
  3. Maintain appropriate attendance: No more than 16 unexcused absences; 16 tardies or 16 dismissals (combined); previous semester
  4. This form must be signed by the student and a parent/guardian regardless of student age.

Note: Students are not permitted to request changes in their class schedules for the sole purpose of applying for the Academy Plan.

Removal from the Academy Plan

  • Failure to maintain the academic & attendance requirements
  • Failure to comply with any Pinkerton Academy policy or procedure as stated in the student planner
    • Conduct issues which result in an OSS/ISS (for any length of time) may result in a loss of the plan
  • On request of a parent, counselor, or administrator

Academy Plan Rules

  • I am not permitted on campus during my Academy Plan period/s.
  • If I need to be on campus for any reason, I must notify administration 24 hours in advance, providing notification as to where I will be.
  • If I am attending a before or after school meeting/activity, I know that I am still not permitted on campus during my Academy Plan period. 

Student Agreement: I have read, understand, and agree to abide by all the requirements and expectations in Pinkerton's Academy Plan. I understand that if my grades fall below the prescribed level or my attendance and/or conduct is deemed unsatisfactory, I may lose the privilege of participating in this program, will be reassigned to a study, and may be subject to consequences. I know that if I have a Block 1 study and a Block 2 class, I MUST attend the FLEX period. If I have a Block 1 and Block 2 study, I do not attend the FLEX period. I further understand that: 

  • R1/W1 Blocks Students are NOT permitted on campus prior to 8:35 without administrative approval. 
  • R4/W4 Blocks Students are NOT permitted on campus between 12:33-1:58 without administrative approval.

Parent/Guardian Approval:  I give permission for my son/daughter to participate in the late arrival OR early release components of Pinkerton's Academy Plan. I understand that my son/daughter will be required to be off school property and will not be supervised by PA staff while on late arrival OR early release. I agree to release Pinkerton Academy of all liability if my son/daughter is injured or causes injury to others while participating in the Academy Plan.
