Pinkerton Student Leaders Present at DC Conference

February 10th, 2023

Last month 12 Student Council and 6 National Honor Society members attended the LEAD Spark Conference in Washington, DC. Sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, student leaders from across the country learned from each other and experts. Prior to the conference, the Pinkerton students had an opportunity to meet with Senator Shaheen, whose office provided a tour of the Capitol Building. They also visited the White House.

At the conference, Madison Butters was asked to serve on a panel regarding servant leadership and shared her experiences with the over 1000 attendees at the conference.  Additionally, Pinkerton students presented workshops on conducting communication, creating club connections, and effective social media posts. As a bonus, Governor Chris Sununu was on their flight home, and the students took the initiative to have an impromptu conversation with him at the airport.

We are grateful for the unique experiences our students have to grow and excel in new ways and thankful to our community members who help support these opportunities!
