Weekly Update - 10/28/22

October 28th, 2022 by Tim Powers

Good afternoon,

This weekend the Pinkerton Players present The Glass Menagerie. The cast and crew have been hard at work under the direction of Mrs. Tartarilla, and some Junior English classes were able to see it today. Show times for the weekend are Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm. Be sure to get your tickets!

On Saturday, October 15th, several Pinkerton music students participated in the NH Jazz All-State Music Festival auditions at Londonderry High School.  The following students were selected to perform in the Festival:  Debrah Hernandez, Alycia Leriche, Lorelei Stahl, Landon Sprague, and Jonathan Uber. Jonah Eckerman will sing in the Honors Choir, and Ben Adams will play drums for the Honors Choir.  Jacob Lebroda and Jamie DiSalvo will perform in the Honors Band, and Zakary Camarda will perform with the Jazz Band. Pinkerton Academy will serve as host for the festival February 2-4, 2023.  Congratulations to these students on making it into the NH Jazz All-State Music Festival!

For athletics, girls soccer travels to Portsmouth today for their quarterfinal playoff game, and football plays tonight at home in their final regular season game. Cross country competes in the D1 championship tomorrow. Winter sports organizational meetings are next week, Thursday, November 3rd except for Girls Hockey which will meet on Tuesday, November 1st. You can find the locations for the meetings and more information on the Athletics section of the website.

Monday is Halloween, and we encourage our community to have fun and wear festive attire that still adheres to our dress code and safety expectations. On Tuesday, we are encouraging everyone to wear pink as part of student-led efforts for Breast Cancer Awareness. We hope everyone will join us in supporting this student initiative.

Enjoy the weekend.

Sincerely,

Dr. Timothy J. Powers
