Weekly Update 5/30/25
May 30th, 2025
Good afternoon, Pinkerton Community,
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. As a school, we are committed to promoting good mental health by providing support and access to resources for all of our community members.
The end of the school year can bring a lot of additional stress, so I encourage everyone to ask for help if you need it and to check on the people in your life who may be struggling. Remember, our School Counseling Department has provided a list of resources on the Students, Parents, and Staff sections of our website.
Together we can normalize talking about mental health and help everyone to realize they aren’t alone.

STUDENT SHOUT OUTS:

It is now up to the public to vote! The Grand Prize Winner will be invited to perform on the main stage at Do Good Fest 2025 on July 12 as the opening band! Additionally, the top three acts that receive the most votes will win the following donations for their schools’ music programs:

Avery Mannion, Emily Field, Eva Morgan, Ava Rozzi, Ava Mahon - these honors biology students presented at ARMI (Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute) in Manchester, NH on 5/20/25. Their posters focused on creating a tissue-engineered product to treat damage caused by diabetes.
Brooke Benz - a member of our girls basketball team, Brooke recently received the John Burke sportsmanship award from the state officials association. Thank you for being such a positive example, Brooke!
Jometh Pantojas, Althea LeBlanc - for organizing a 12 person JROTC Raiders Team for a competition at Peabody HS, MA on 10 May. Raiders Competitions include a 3 mile run, obstacle course, simulated casualty extraction, tire flip/ammunition can carry relay, rope bridge and many other events. It takes a large effort to get all the equipment ready (ropes, liter, climbing gear, first aid kit, etc.), train all the students throughout the year, set up and organize who will be participating in each event and ensure everyone is where they need to be as there are multiple events going simultaneously. 21 teams participated and even thought we did not place at this event the students did a great job and didn't quit, in large part to Pantojas and LeBlanc pushing and encouraging them.
Ryleigh Bannister - for leading the JROTC assistance for four days of the New Hampshire Miss Teen event at the Stockbridge Theatre. She organized the cadets and ensured they were present and in position to assist with seating and guiding folks in during the event. She was also in charge of organizing the event at the Veteran's Cemetery flag laying in Derry. She will be in charge of organizing all the cadets to ensure all the veterans' graves receive a flag in remembrance of their service.
Respectfully,
Michael Perez
Associate Head of School
