Weekly Update 4/11/25
April 11th, 2025
Good afternoon,
This week was National Assistant Principals week, so I want to highlight the amazing people who do this work at Pinkerton – our Associate Deans of Students (ADS). Often the first thought people have about them is tied to discipline. They are the ones who often have to step in when things get tough, and that can make them seem like they’re the “bad guys.” Our ADS group handles a lot when it comes to keeping Pinkerton safe and helping our students make good choices, but that’s just one small piece of what they do.
Our ADS are passionate advocates for their students. They don’t just hand out consequences; they try to figure out what’s really going on with each student and how to help them thrive. They’re behind the scenes working with families, teachers, and counselors to put support in place, whether it's academic help, a connection with an outside resource, or just a listening ear. They genuinely want every student to succeed, and they work tirelessly to make that happen.
I cannot imagine working with a better team. A sincere thank you to Mr. Gagnon, Mr. Rich, Mr. Yahnian, Ms. Tauer, Ms. Larkin, Mr. Walker, Mr. Konstant, and Ms. Tracey. Our community would not be the same without you and the work you do each day for our students.
