Weekly Update 11/15/24
November 15th, 2024
Hello Pinkerton Community,
I hope that everyone had a great week as we move into the holiday season. We have one full week of school then two days and then we are suddenly on Thanksgiving Break. I feel like this year is flying by us.
This fall season has been another eventful one in the world of athletics. Girls Cross Country won the NHIAA Division 1 Championship, the Pinkerton Girls Soccer Team also won the NHIAA Division 1 Championship. Congrats to all of the other athletic teams this fall that competed at a high level:
Bass Fishing - 12th at NHIAA State Competition
Golf - 9th overall at the NHIAA State Championships
Boys Soccer - Made it to the Quarterfinals in the NHIAA State Tournament
Field Hockey - Made it to the Semifinals in the NHIAA State Tournament
PA Cheer - NHIAA Division 1 Runner - up at NHIAA State Championship
Volleyball - NHIAA Division 1 Runner - up at NHIAA State Championship
Boys XC - NHIAA Division 1 Runner - up at NHIAA State Championship
Good luck to the athletes still competing tonight in the Quarterfinal football game against Windham.
This past week we had the great honor to host The Crescent Super Band from Utah is a group of high school aged musicians under the direction of Caleb Chapman. Caleb is a 1991 graduate of Pinkerton Academy and is a member of the Pinkerton Hall of Fame. He has done wonderful things in the music world- including receiving a Grammy nomination, and we are excited that he will be coming home to Derry to perform. Caleb also brought special guests, Steve Smith, the former drummer of the rock band Journey and trombonist Francisco Torres from the Big Phat Band.
