Weekly Update 12/1/23
December 1st, 2023
Pinkerton Families and Friends,
The first week back between the two major holiday breaks has concluded. I trust everyone enjoyed a rejuvenating Thanksgiving Break, preparing for the upcoming push toward Christmas Break and Midterm exams. This weekend at the Stockbridge Theatre, you have the opportunity to experience the winter play, Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, with performances on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm, and Sunday at 2:00 pm. Additionally, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 6:30 pm, don't miss Pinkerton's Got Talent presented by the FBLA.
This week, I want to spotlight Ms. Heidi Parenti and Mr. Kevin Yahnian, our Sophomore Class Associate Deans of Students. Both are experienced staff members with a substantial history at Pinkerton Academy.
Ms. Parenti, in her 29th year at Pinkerton Academy and first year as an Associate Dean, previously spent 28 years teaching English. Alongside her teaching role, she has been the Photography Club Advisor since 2001, a distinguished actress in the yearly Faculty Play, and an active member of various committees, including a significant role in the Flex Committee. Ms. Parenti enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, and she cherishes time with family and friends.
Mr. Yahnian has dedicated 25 years to Pinkerton Academy, serving 19 years as an Associate Dean of Students. Before assuming this role, he taught Russian and is passionate about Russian history. He has also contributed as a Track and Field coach and participated in committees and training such as the Risk and Threat Assessment Team, CPI training, and the MTSS-B program.
We are fortunate to have both Ms. Parenti and Mr. Yahnian as part of our administrative team.
