Costa Rica Immersion Study Program provides students with cultural experience
June 14th, 2022
During April vacation 10 Pinkerton Academy students traveled to Costa Rica for a Spanish Language Immersion course. While they were there, the students lived with host families and could only speak Spanish! They tried new foods, engaged in conversations in Spanish, learned the Bachata dance, and visited sites in the area.
In addition, Mr. Frank and Mrs. Maloney coordinated donations from the Freshman Attendance Office, the International Club, and many Spanish students to fill 20 school backpacks. The group then delivered over 100 lbs of school supplies to a local elementary school, Colegio Sámara.
We are grateful for the ability to provide these opportunities for our students and so proud of those who took advantage of this chance to grow and learn in new ways.
